Q: How long will it take to be matched up with a mentee?

A: The process typically lasts between 3 to 6 months. Often times fingerprinting, the criminal background check & the drug tests delay the process.
A: Each mentor from the Rock Church is referred to a county agency, which administratively arranges the match. Each agency has their own style in processing volunteers but all require a background check, drug test and interview.
A: Most of the time there is no cost, but a solid RSVP is required. Being good stewards of the funds entrusted to us means not losing money when somebody dosen't show up when they say they will.
