Become A Mentor

Mentors change the lives of the foster children they support by providing commitment, consistency and stability. The healthy bond created with the mentor is often the most influential in their lives. Nothing compares to the transformative power of unconditional love.

Steps to Becoming a Mentor:

Pray first!!!
One year commitment, 2 hours per week (you set the time and date with mentee)
Complete the online application
Must be at least 18 years of age
Provide proof of CA Driver's License and proof of auto insurance
Pass all criminal clearances, and drug testing
Attend an orientation (Step Up or County of San Diego)
Attend the mandatory training through the County of San Diego
