About

Step Up Foster Youth Mentor Ministry is an outreach ministry of the Rock Church in San Diego. The ministry connects mentors with the agencies authorized in San Diego County to match mentors with foster youths. Step Up provides support and guidance to the mentors, along with sponsoring a variety of events.

Our mission is to facilitate the healthy development of foster youth through mentoring. Inspired by the youth they serve and seeing the apparent need, Lisa Walker and Teresa Helms formed the Step Up Foster Youth Mentor Ministry in 2004. The results continue to amaze. Not only does God provide a outpouring of support, but foster youths dedicate their lives to Him.
